The challenge was to redesign the experience with a clean, mordern and enterprise-grade interface that improves visibility, speeds up daily operations, and empowers teams to manage requests, policies, and analytics in one place.
Results
The redesigned interface simplified user interactions and improved operational clarity:
32% faster request-handling time (based on user flow testing)
90% of testers found the new dashboard “cleaner and easier to navigate”
4.7★ satisfaction rating from prototype sessions

Process
Research & Analysis: Studied the structure of existing insurance portals and interviewed team members (agents, managers, admins) to identify workflow pain points. The main issues were poor navigation, data overload, and unclear task hierarchie
Information Architecture: Defined a modular navigation system covering six core modules , Dashboard, Requests, Clients & Policies, Documents, Reports, and Settings, ensuring consistent hierarchy and reduced cognitive load.
Wireframing & Prototyping: Developed low- and high-fidelity wireframes in Figma with an emphasis on responsive layouts and efficient data visualization. Incorporated smart drawers and collapsible side panels for quick access.
Usability Testing: Conducted prototype sessions simulating real-world scenarios like handling new client requests or updating a policy. Feedback focused on reducing steps for common actions and improving table readability.
Visual Design & Style Guide: CoverEase’s design system was crafted to feel reliable, professional, and scalable across web applications.
Typography: Inter (UI text) & IBM Plex Sans (data and labels)
Color Palette: Blue-gray neutrals with soft sky blue and teal highlights
Tone: Reliable, efficient, and transparent
“ The goal with CoverEase was to turn complexity into clarity, designing a system that’s powerful, but still feels light and intuitive to use”
